I race with SS plates (top and bottom) and most people don't do that. Also I use the R1 washer (optional) in the front, instead of the R washer. I race in cars with "old" and "new" floorboards with "inside" fairings. I also win with painted and unpainted cars. I am also fortunate to have good hard axles so I don't align (not even at the nationals). Most important, it's not the car's set-up; it's the driver's skill and attitude. My motto is: Just clean it up a little and I'm ready to race! I didn't do anything to my wheels in Akron this year and I placed3rd in SS Rally.
